We survived the MS 150!!

Yay! Our first MS 150 completed! After 2 days of biking and a great route through some picturesque Massachusetts territory, we pulled into Provincetown a little after noon on Sunday. Jimmy had just survived his second flat in just 5 miles...and it was ridiculously hot. But the nice part was that they had "truck showers" at the finish so we showered, ate and walked into town for a little bit before boarding the bus back to Boston. Although there was a "party boat" that also ferried folks back to Boston, it was nice to be in air-conditioned comfort after 2 days out in the elements!

Some advice for future MS150 riders:
1) stay hydrated, even if you don't think you need water (we saw a lady get rolled away in an ambulance!)
2) find a way to meditate, pray, count, sing, hum, or otherwise keep your mind off the hill you're pounding through
3) don't stop at every rest stop, even if its tempting. your muscles cramp up, you waste time, and you end up staying out in the heat longer!
4) get a road bike with some clip-in pedals. we saw several folks in single speed bikes, mtn bikes, hybrids, etc. and trust us, it freaking looked painful.
5) have fun!

For you guys down in the South, here is a rough map of where we rode:And here is a shot of us on "The Cape!"

That is so awesome! It's looks like it would be such a nice ride. I'm sure its nicer than the one in Texas.
